  First off my 3 stars is for a decent experience and not bad. Went in for eye exam and some glasses so first order of business was the eye exam. The receptionist was great and friendly. She could joke around and make the first part of the exam fun. Second part was waiting for Dr. Shepard in his office. Once he walked i got the impression like he hated his job/life. Maybe he just has a dry personality, is very introverted, or was having a bad day. I don't personally know him and wont judge him for that. But for my experience, the exam went too fast and I felt unsure about a lot of the (which one is better) slides but he pressed through making me feel rushed when I wanted to do the best I could for the right perscription. It felt very clinical and robotic. No life or energy but I guess you shouldnt expect that in the medical field. I would still go back

  Personally, I like this office and staff and have used their services multiple times. I like that they're well-priced and straight forward; no dilly-dallying or long waits. Some reviews seem to indicate they wish Dr. Shepard had more bedside manner, but I've always found his interactions to be polite and straight forward--perhaps these folks are looking for more affectionate personalities to engage with their children or to have extended conversations beyond a basic eye exam. If you're looking for this kind of traditional or highly personalized interaction, you may not find it here--but this is also what I appreciate about this office. I appreciate that I can receive basic eye care at an affordable price and that I do not have to worry about waiting extended periods of time to get in and to receive my orders. Thank you all for helping me get in, get out, and get on with my day!
